Microwave heating comes from the press's sides, while the aluminum upper and lower heater plates offer flexibility and increased durability. A tough, nonstick coating covers all surfaces that come into contact with food, and the unit's preprogrammed menus make it straightforward to create consistent product. Its electronic, push-button controls can be customized to each kitchen's recipes, and for convenience, a built-in USB port and separate flash drive enable users to program the unit.

For safety, the microwave will not heat until the cover comes down, and at the end of each heating cycle, the cover automatically opens and a beeper sounds to prevent overheating.
